ZTE, the world’s leading provider of information and communication technology solutions, recently launched the G5 series of servers based on the fourth-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processor (Sapphire Rapids) in Beijing.

ZTE, which is committed to boosting the digital economy, has released 5 servers, including 5200 G5 high-density server, R5300 G5 all-scenario general server, R5500 G5 massive storage server, R6500 G5 heterogeneous computing power server, and R8500 G5 high-density server-performance server .

The new G5 series servers support liquid cooling. They have the characteristics of high-density computing capabilities, flexible expansion, heterogeneous computing capabilities, massive storage, stability and reliability, and will provide more powerful computing capabilities for the development of the digital economy.

ZTE released five servers, including 5200 G5 high-density server, R5300 G5 all-scenario general server, R5500 G5 mass storage server, R6500 G5 heterogeneous computing power server, and R8500 G5 high-performance server.

Ultimate Performance, Powerful Computing Power

ZTE G5 series servers adopt the latest Intel® Xeon® fourth-generation scalable processor, with 2-way 120 cores, providing powerful computing support. The server is designed with high memory bandwidth and equipped with 32 DDR5 memory slots. The highest rate can reach 4800MT/s, and the bandwidth performance is increased by 50%. The server supports Intel® Optane™ persistent memory 300 series (Crow Pass). The new PCIe 5.0 bandwidth increases by 150%, providing powerful hardware acceleration capabilities.

Specifically, the ZTE R6500 G5 heterogeneous computing power server has a built-in 10-20 computing intelligent acceleration engine. According to different application scenarios, various computing power resources can be flexibly scheduled to realize the optimal combination of computing power such as CPU+GPU, CPU+GPU+DPU, etc., and meet the needs of various computing power scenarios such as AI and supercomputing.

At the same time, the new G5 series servers can be flexibly expanded. For example, the R5300 G5 provides up to 41 2.5-inch disks or 20 3.5-inch disks and 4 2.5-inch disks, and provides high-speed I/O interfaces. Based on hardware modularization and software platform design, it can be configured on demand to meet the differentiated needs of different application scenarios. In addition, the customized R5300 G5 server can be designed according to different customer needs and meet different application scenarios.
