News Students must focus on digital transformation: Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan

VIJAYAWADA: Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan has stressed that students must focus on digital transformation on Saturday. Speaking at the second session of the Centurion University of Technology and Management in Vizianagaram, he said India was on the cusp of radical change and students had to specialize in chip manufacturing, quantum computing, computational pharma, smart agriculture and smart manufacturing.
He further said that the Jan Dhan-Aadhar-Mobile integrated system has demonstrated how Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) can be a game changer for the poor and the Andhra Pradesh government has been a pioneer in this regard.
The governor actually addressed Raj Bhavan’s conference by stating, “COVID-19 and its aftermath have shown how quantum computing and computational pharmacy can combine to reduce the time needed to develop new vaccines, saving millions of lives. “
The governor lauded the university’s focus on cutting-edge technological fields and its roots in Odisha and the northern coastal state of Andhra Pradesh. He advised the university to focus as much on Vedic culture as possible and to try to rediscover the glory of the land.
