It has been announced that Princess Eugenie is pregnant with her second child, due in the summer.

Announcing the news today, Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child this summer.

“The whole family is happy and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother.”

Moments later, Eugenie took to her Instagram page to share an adorable photo taken by husband Jake of her baby son kissing her belly, writing: “We’re so excited to share that this summer Our family will welcome a new member.”‘

While it’s not known where the photo of Princess Eugenie and August was taken, it appears to have been taken within the past few weeks with frost on the ground.

In the photo, the mother can be seen smiling at her baby son, who is nestled warmly in her belly.

It is not yet known if she is carrying a boy or a girl.

Eugenie and her husband Jack began dating in 2011 and confirmed their relationship during an appearance at Royal Ascot that same year.

When Eugenie left London to work at an auction house in New York in 2013, the two remained in a long-distance relationship.

Eugenie went on to reveal that August’s name was a moving tribute to Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert, whose real name was Franz Albert August Karl, and Prince Philip · Emmanuel, died at the age of 99.
